Manchester Principal’s Minute Transcript:

Good evening, this is Kailey Hill the principal at Manchester Elementary School with your Manchester Principal’s Minute.

We did it and parents, you helped a lot. Thank you for becoming co-teachers with us for the Cumberland@Home initiative during the Coronavirus school closure. We could not have done this without you! Now that the 2019-2020 school year has concluded, here are some important notes to keep in mind.

Cumberland County Schools (CCS) has launched Online Kindergarten Enrollment for the 2020-21 school year. To be eligible, a child must be 5 years old by August 31, 2020. To enroll a kindergartener for the 2020-2021 school year, visit the CCS website for a link to the application (or go to https://ccsncc.scriborder.com/ and select Student Enrollment- Kindergarten). The application and required documents can be completed 100% online using a computer, phone or other mobile device.

Grab-N-Go Meal Service – CCS Child Nutrition Services will not be serving meals to children 18 years of age and younger from Monday, May 25 – Friday, May 29. Beginning Monday, June 1, the district’s summer meal program will operate at various sites throughout the county. Please go to the CCS website for a list of locations (or go to http://bit.ly/mealpickup).

Parents will be able to pick up their child or children’s medication, personal effects, and report cards on the following days and times:

Kindergarten & 1st grade: Wednesday, June 3rd between 12:30 and 6:00 p.m

2nd & 3rd grade: Thursday, June 4th between 12:30 and 6:00 p.m

4th & 5th grade: Friday, June 5th between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

For the safety of families and staff we ask that you wear a face mask and remain inside your car. If you are unable to come on the designated day for your child’s grade, please come at one of the other scheduled times.

The week of June 1st will be the last scheduled Principal’s Minute for Sunday evenings until closer to the new school year, but we will continue to share pertinent information using Class Dojo School Story as needed over the summer.

This has been your Manchester Principal’s Minute. Have a good evening, great summer and a wonderful week.
