Red Ribbon

October 27- October 31

Mon-“Sock it to Drugs!” Wear crazy or mismatched socks with uniform.
Tue-“Rally in Red!” Students wear red uniform shirts, hair bows, etc. Students must wear uniform pants.
Wed-“Turn your Back on Drugs” Wear your uniform shirt backwards.
Thu-“Team Up Against Drugs” Students wear their favorite sports jersey with uniform pants.
Fri-“Tune out Drugs” Listen to music in cafeteria during lunch. Each class will create a display for the cafeteria.

fundraising support
Manchester Elementary is having an Eagles Spirit Wear Fundraiser. Order forms have already went home with students.  Order forms and payments are due by Oct. 27, 2014.  Make checks payable to: Fancloth.  Spirit wear may be worn on Fridays with your normal uniform.  Even our friends and family can join in and support our school.  The class that raises the most funds will win a pizza and ice cream party.  Funds raised go to support our school!

Manchester Elementary School will be collecting items to make “Care Kits” for the homeless in our community.  Each grade level has been assigned to collect an item. Helping others is a great way to build character with our students.  Thank you for your participation and generosity.  Collection of items begins Monday, October 20th and ends Friday, October 24th.

 Kindergarten- Hand Sanitizer(Travel Size)
 1st Grade-Bar of Soap
 2nd Grade-Toothbrush
 3rd Grade-Toothpaste(Travel Size)
 4th Grade-Deodorant
 5th Grade-Peanut Butter Crackers

ChosenJoin us on September 25th at E.E. Smith High School from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. to view the film, Chosen.  Chosen, is the true story of two ‘All-American’ teenage girls tricked into trafficking.  Also, Dr. Sharon Cooper, a national expert on the topic, will facilitate a discussion on how our community may be affected by this very serious issue.  For more information, contact Natasha Scott (910)678-2433.  This event is sponsored by Cumberland County Schools’ Student Services Parent Education Task Force.
